I recently started using the GitHub Code Search preview and noticed you can configure Firefox to search GitHub directly from the address bar.

  1. Go to cs.github.com
  2. Sign up for the beta if you haven’t already
  3. Right click on the address bar
  4. Add “code search”
  1. Bonus: In Preferences → Search → Search Shortcuts, add a Keyword
  2. Search GitHub directly from the Firefox Address Bar
